Hosted by Tarsus University, the symposium titled “Preparing for Parenthood: From Pregnancy to Life with a Baby” offered a comprehensive examination of the transition to parenthood through the lens of scientific developments, professional experiences, and contributions from experts across various disciplines.
Opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Ali Özen, Rector of Tarsus University; Dr. Orhan Acehan, Director of Tarsus District Health Directorate; and Dr. Özlem Koç, Symposium Chair and faculty member of the Department of Midwifery.
Held at Tarsus University’s Conference Hall, the symposium continued with sessions that explored current developments in women's and infant health from a multidisciplinary perspective. Specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, pediatricians, dietitians, physiotherapists, and psychologists shared their knowledge and experiences regarding the preparation process for parenthood, each from the perspective of their respective fields.
