A training program titled “Discussing the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Accounting Profession: Improving Students’ Perspectives” was organized under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Erkan Uzun, a faculty member at Tarsus University. The program was conducted within the scope of TÜBİTAK’s 2237-A Support Program and featured in-depth training sessions led by expert academics and industry professionals. The sessions focused on the effects of digital transformation in the accounting profession and current sectoral developments.
Throughout the three-day program, various topics were addressed in detail, including the mutual responsibilities of accountants, the state, and taxpayers, as well as how to prepare financial statements that are accurate and aligned with real-world needs. The training, which was especially designed for prospective accounting professionals, also covered professional ethics and moral codes of the field. Key topics included:
