The Faculty of Health Sciences at Tarsus University organized a “Uniform Ceremony” and a “White Coat Ceremony” for first-year students of the 2025–2026 academic year. During the ceremonies, 110 students studying in the Midwifery and Nursing departments donned their white coats, while 69 students from the Speech-Language Pathology and Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation departments put on their uniforms, taking their first steps into their professional careers.

The ceremonies, held in the Şehit İstihkâm Üsteğmen Ozan Olgu Köreke Conference Hall, were attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Serkan Şahin, Acting General Secretary Prof. Dr. Mehmet İnce, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Duygu Sönmez Düzkaya, academic and administrative staff, as well as families and a large number of students.

In her opening remarks at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Duygu Sönmez Düzkaya, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, highlighted the nature of the health field, which directly impacts human life, and emphasized the critical importance of ensuring that students entering this field are equipped with comprehensive knowledge and a strong sense of responsibility. Stating that the faculty trains health professionals grounded in scientific principles, committed to ethical values, and possessing strong practical skills, Prof. Dr. Düzkaya concluded her speech by expressing her confidence that the students would successfully represent the university in the field of health and offering her best wishes for their success. The ceremonies, which saw a large turnout, concluded with a group photo session following the presentation of uniforms and white coats to the students.
