Tarsus University’s Vocational School of Health Services is adding a new health-focused field to its educational offerings. The Elderly Care Program, launched within the Department of Health Care Services, will admit its first students starting with the new academic year.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, the program—which will admit 30 students—features a curriculum focused on meeting the anatomical, psychological, and social needs of older adults, monitoring chronic diseases, fundamental gerontological approaches, and rehabilitation processes. The program aims to prepare well-trained healthcare technicians, equipped with professional ethical principles, to work in nursing homes, care facilities, relevant hospital departments, and home care services.
