Tarsus University Project Office organised a seminar on Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights, Patents and Utility Models at the Şehit İstihkâm Üsteğmen Ozan Olgu Köreke Conference Hall. The seminar covered patent and invention application processes, presented by experts.
Ramazan Duman, an official from the Mersin University Technology Transfer Office, shared information about patent application criteria in Turkey and worldwide, and provided information to the audience about patent training and industrial property training conducted at universities within the framework of the 12th Development Plan. Another speaker at the seminar, Süleyman Hanlı, Patent Specialist and representative of Tercih Patent, addressed topics such as brand value, design, geographical indication, and patents and utility models within the scope of industrial property rights. The seminar covered existing commercial and legal regulations on the protection of inventions, the rights conferred by registration certificates, and new conditions arising in intellectual property rights with artificial intelligence technology.
