Tarsus Üniversitesi’nin temelleri 1992 yılında Mersin Üniversitesi’ne bağlı olarak kurulan Tarsus Meslek Yüksekokulu ile atılmıştır. 2001 yılında Tarsus Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi, 2005 yılında Uygulamalı Teknoloji ve İşletmecilik Yüksekokulu kurulmasıyla eğitim faaliyetlerini genişletmiştir.Bugün itibari ile 4 fakülte, 1 enstitü, 1 yüksekokul ve 2 meslek yüksekokulu ile faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir.

With the widespread adoption of electrification processes, the demand for rare earth elements has increased significantly. The electrical machinery sector is at the forefront of this demand. Neodymium magnets are among the most critical elements for permanent magnet motors, which are widely used in wind turbines, electric vehicles, household appliances, unmanned aerial vehicles, and many other applications. The absence of this rare earth element in our country creates a significant security vulnerability. Therefore, the development of magnet-free electrical machine designs and their potential to replace magnetised machines is of great importance. Within the scope of this project, the aim is to design the topology of a wound field flux switching machine (WFFSM), an electric machine that does not contain rare earth elements, to provide high torque and efficiency at low wind speeds, and to validate the control strategies through simulation. The integrated system model to be developed in the simulation environment will encompass machine design, turbine aerodynamics, power electronics (converter), generator model and control layers.
