A significant and strategic step is being taken to strengthen the institutional capacity of Tarsus University in the fields of education, research, and community contribution. In this context, work has begun on establishing the Tarsus University Development Foundation to support the university's long-term development goals. Despite being a young university, Tarsus University, which has quickly generated academic, social, and economic value for its region, aims to support its educational activities, increase its research and innovation capacity, and make its community contribution efforts more sustainable, in line with its dynamic, innovative, and development-oriented institutional structure. Designed as a non-profit structure based on public benefit, the Tarsus University Development Foundation is expected to strengthen collaborations between the university and its stakeholders, increase resource diversity, and make a strategic contribution to institutional sustainability. In line with these planned goals, an evaluation meeting was held at the Tarsus University Rectorate on February 4, 2026. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Mersin, Atilla Toros, the District Governor of Tarsus, Mehmet Ali Akyüz, representatives from the business world, and the university's senior management and academic administrative officials.
