Project Duration: 18 months
Within the scope of this project, a driver assistant will be developed to enable hook-lift trucks to approach containers more easily. Hook-lift trucks are widely used in logistics. However, the fact that current systems rely on the operator creates several issues. The primary concerns include safety risks, the need for a second guidance personnel, time-consuming docking and alignment processes, dependence on environmental conditions, and adaptation periods during operator changes. In this project, an AI-supported hook-lift system will be developed to create a guidance assistant that enables the driver to safely align the container without the need for a second operator during the container detection and alignment process.
