The Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone School of Technical Sciences is expanding its educational programs for the 2026–2027 academic year. As part of this expansion, the Welding Technology Program and the Automotive Technology Program will admit students for the first time with the start of the new academic year.
Aimed at training qualified mid-level professionals needed by the industrial and technology sectors, these programs—each with a capacity of 30 students—will prepare students through a curriculum that combines theoretical instruction with hands-on, application-focused coursework and an industry-oriented educational approach.
While the Welding Technology Program aims to produce graduates proficient in areas such as metal joining techniques, modern welding methods, materials science, and quality control, the Automotive Technology Program seeks to provide the industry with technical personnel equipped with expertise in motor vehicle systems, vehicle maintenance and repair, electronic control systems, and next-generation automotive technologies.
