Tarsus Üniversitesi’nin temelleri 1992 yılında Mersin Üniversitesi’ne bağlı olarak kurulan Tarsus Meslek Yüksekokulu ile atılmıştır. 2001 yılında Tarsus Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi, 2005 yılında Uygulamalı Teknoloji ve İşletmecilik Yüksekokulu kurulmasıyla eğitim faaliyetlerini genişletmiştir.Bugün itibari ile 4 fakülte, 1 enstitü, 1 yüksekokul ve 2 meslek yüksekokulu ile faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir.

A Seminar on AI-Supported English Learning Was Held at Our University

The seminar titled “The Art of Asking: Prompt Engineering for Enhanced English Language Proficiency,” organized by the School of Foreign Languages at Tarsus University, was held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 1:30 PM in the Şehit İstihkâm Üsteğmen Ozan Olgu Köreke Conference Hall.
Dr. Boussoualim Malika from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique in Algeria was the speaker at the seminar. Dr. Malika gave a comprehensive presentation on how artificial intelligence technologies can be used effectively and efficiently in language learning processes, sharing information about the role of the “prompt engineering” approach in developing English language proficiency.
The event included theoretical and practical examples of how asking the right questions, when used in conjunction with AI-supported applications, can strengthen the language learning process. Participants had the opportunity to gain important insights into how to make more effective use of digital tools in English language learning.
The seminar, which was well attended, concluded with a Q&A session where participants' questions were answered.
